Once the MonoPrice MDP->HDMI cables come out I'll be replacing the two adapter solution for sure, and selling the dang Apple adapter.. Also, would it be best to have both monitors on the same connection? If i go the HDMI route should I buy a DVI to HDMI adapter for the other port?Or have both on DVI? Will there be a visible difference between the monitors if they're not on the same type of connection? Which would be best for graphics, 3D production rather than HDTV movie watching? Yet the 6 foot DVI->HDMI cable I bought from MonoPrice was only $4 As for your audio concern, as far as I know, the current MBP's do not support audio over MDP anyways, so the MDP->DVI->HDMI isn't a big concern really, just an annoyance.. But there are Mini Displayport to HDMI adapters and Mini Displayport to DVI adapters available..
